Overnight camel trekking Merzouga desert

Your overnight and camel trekking in the Merzouga desert will start around 16:00, usually, 2 hours before the sunset. First of all, we will set a meeting point where we can guide you or pick you up to a hotel where you can leave your car and heavy luggage if you have it. Secondly, we will pick you up next to the dunes of Erg Chebbi. From there, we will take the camel and head to the Berber camp. On the way, you will experience a change of the dunes’ color, such an amazing and unique view. In a while, around 1h and a half, you will arrive at the Berber camp. You will have free time to stroll around the camp, take the sandboard, and climb the dunes to watch the beautiful sunset. When the sunset is over, you will have some time in the camp to drink the Berber Whiskey (mint tea) and relax. In a while, you will enjoy a delicious meal for dinner. Then, you will be invited out to sit next to the campfire to enjoy the Berber party accompanied by a beautiful view under the stars. And this is how the first part of your overnight camel trekking in Merzouga ends. On the other day, we advise you to wake up early for the sunrise. In both cases, standard and luxury camps, breakfast is included, so you will have breakfast in the camp after coming back from watching the sunrise. However, concerning shower, it is included in the luxury camp but not in the standard camp. So, if you book a standard camp, you will have your shower in the hotel in Merzouga. In both cases, you will have another camel ride back to the place where we started the last day.
