Starting 4 days desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, we will travel to the Sahara Dunes near Merzouga after visiting Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate. We will also visit the fantastic Toudra Gorges and Dades Valley. After we finish our desert program, we will return to Marrakech.

Itinerary of 4 days desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga

1st Day: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ouarzazat – Skoura – Dades Gorges:

The 4 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga starts soon after we meet you. After that, we will go to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, traveling across the High-Atlas road. We will stop at Ait Benhaddou, which is one of the most iconic sites in Morocco and Hollywood movies. It was the filming site of many movies similar to Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven. After that we will go to Ouarzazate, which is also apparent in those movies. We will go after that to Skoura Oasis, which is one of the most luscious oases in Morocco. Finally, we will drive to Dades Valley and gorges to explore the rock formations of the ‘Monkey Toes’ before we stop at a hotel with a nice view.

2nd Day: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi:

We will eat breakfast and shower before we head to Tinghir: the oasis town and the Todra Gorges. Todra Gorges are the highest canyons in Morocco. The landscapes of Todra are quite amazing. After that, we will head to the oases of Tafilalt, which has the largest palm groves in Morocco. Soon after we visit the two desert towns Erfoud and Rissani, we will stop at our destination, which is Merzouga. We will check into a hotel there to take a rest. Finally, we will ride the camels towards the dunes of Erg Chebbi. We will climb the high dunes to see the mesmerizing sunset before we go the desert camp. In the desert camp, we will enjoy all sorts of activities like dancing to live traditional music and stargazing. The nomads will keep us entertained until we decide to sleep.

3rd Day : Erg Chebbi – Rissani – Alnif – Tazarin – Valley Draa – Ouarzazat:

We will wake up early in the morning for we have to see the amazing sunrise in the Sahara dunes. After that we will take a shower in hotel, eat breakfast and finally Erg Chebbi dunes. We will head to Ourazazate across Alnif, Tazarine Oasis, N’kob and the Draa Valley. We will pay a visit to the Kasbah of Taourirt and Skoura Oasis. After that, we will spend the night in a hotel in Ouarzazate.

Day 4: Ouarzazate – Film Studio – High Atlas Road – Marrakech:

After breakfast, we will travel to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. This Kasbah is the largest one in Morocco. This Kasbah is also apparent in many Hollywood movies and Game of Thrones as well. After we reach Marrakech, traveling across the High Atlas Road, we will explore some cool sites like the Majorelle Gardens and Jamaa El Fna Square, which is the busiest square in Africa and one of the most exotic places on earth. We will explore the huge Medina of Marrakech, which is another world heritage site. We will see the artisans, Bazaars, Koranic Schools, and the landmarks of the Medina. After that, we will see the famous Bahia Palace and the Saadian Tombs. We will visit all the important landmarks and historical sites in Marrakech like the Souks, the Koranic School, the Bahia Palace, and the Saadian Tombs. We will have lunch near Jamaa El Fna. After that, we will have a free program. Then, we will end our tour of 4 days starting from Marrakech to Merzouga desert.
