Itinerary of 15 days tour in Morocco from Casablanca

Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat:

Soon after we meet up, we will explore Casablanca, visiting the Corniche and the iconic Hassan II mosque, which is one of the most sophisticated Moroccan and Islamic buildings. Afterward, the tour will take us to Rabat the capital city. In Rabat, we will visit the historical monument Hassan Tower and the mausoleum of the two kings Mohamed V and Hassan II. We will also visit the Oudaya Kasbah, which is another iconic building. Finally, we will spend the night in a hotel.

Day 2: Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fes:

After we finish our breakfast, we will head to the World Heritage Site Volubilis: The ruins of an old Roman city. The archeological findings of Volubilis date back to the 3rd century BC. Soon after we finish exploring this historical city, we will drive to the imperial city Meknes. Meknes is one of the big-scale imperial cities of Morocco. In Meknes, there’s no shortage of tourist attractions. For example, the most famous spots in Meknes are the Medina, Lahdim Square, Bab Mansour Gate, Sahrij Swani pool and the tomb of the Sultan Moulay Ismail, the king who built the city in the 17th century. Finally, we will head to Fez city. We will spend the night in a traditional Moroccan Riad in the ancient Medina of Fez.

Day 3: Discover Fes:

On the 3rd day of our 15 days tour from Casablanca, we will leave the Riad to explore the cultural and spiritual capital of Morocco Fez. The medieval city of Fez is a World Heritage site. There, we will explore all the iconic sites and narrow streets. We will get the chance to discover the first university in the history of mankind, which is The University of al-Qarawiyyin. We will also visit many other interesting sites like the leather tanneries and the Nejjarine Fountain. Finally, we will go to see Fez from a panoramic spot before we go back to the Riad in the Medina once again.

Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar forest – Azrou – Ziz Valley – Merzouga:

After we wake up and eat breakfast, we will start our journey to the Sahara. On our way to the Sahara desert, we will stop at various interesting spots. The first two spots are Ifrane city and Azrou. Ifrane is dubbed the Switzerland of Morocco and Azrou is famous for its cedar forests. In the forest, we will meet the local monkeys, which will add a lighthearted touch to our tour. After that, we will head to Midelt the Apple Town of Morocco. Then, we will cross the Ziz Valley and the oases of Tafilalt, which has the largest palm groves in Morocco. Soon after we visit the two desert towns Erfoud and Rissani, we will stop at our destination, which is Merzouga. We will check into a hotel there to take a rest; the next day will be full of activities in the desert.

Day 5: Merzouga area and camel ride:

In the morning, we will explore the region of Merzouga starting with the Gnawa spiritual music town Khamlia. Afterward, we will go to Dayet Srij Lake, which hosts flamingoes and other birds in the spring. After that, we will visit some nomads in their tents. At the end of the day, we will return to Merzouga. Finally, we will ride the camels towards the dunes of Erg Chebbi. We will climb the high dunes to see the mesmerizing sunset before we go the desert camp. In the desert camp, we will enjoy all sorts of activities like dancing to live traditional music and stargazing. The nomads will keep us entertained until we decide to sleep.

Day 6: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley:

On this day, we must wake up early to see the sunrise because it cannot be missed in the Sahara. We will ride the camels once again and head to the town of Merzouga where we left our luggage in the hotel. We will eat breakfast and shower before we head to Tinghir: the oasis town and the Todra Gorges. Todra Gorges are the highest canyons in Morocco. The landscapes of Todra are quite amazing. Finally, we will drive to Dades Valley and gorges to explore the rock formations of the ‘Monkey Toes’ before we stop at a hotel with a nice view.

Day 7: Dades gorge – Kalaat M’Gouna – Skoura – Ouarzazate:

After breakfast as always, we will start our journey of the day. We will head to Kalaat M’Gouna the city of Roses and Ouarzazate the Hollywood of Morocco, crossing the road of a ‘thousand Kasbahs.’ We can also visit the iconic Skoura Oasis on our trip. Finally, we will stay in a hotel in Ouarzazate after we explore the studios where many incredible Hollywood movies were filmed. The list includes Gladiator, the Mummy, Kingdom of Heaven, and the series Game of Thrones.

Day 8: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Imlil:

After we’re done with breakfast, we will travel to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. This Kasbah is the largest one in Morocco. This Kasbah is also apparent in many Hollywood movies and Game of Thrones as well. After enjoying our time in Ait Benhaddou, we will head to the High Atlas Mountains across Tizi n’Tichka Road. We will stop at Imlil, which is a town at the foot of Mount Toubkal.

Day 9: Area of Imlil:

After we’re done with breakfast, we will travel to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. This Kasbah is the largest one in Morocco. This Kasbah is also apparent in many Hollywood movies and Game of Thrones as well. After enjoying our time in Ait Benhaddou, we will head to the High Atlas Mountains across Tizi n’Tichka Road. We will stop at Imlil, which is a town at the foot of Mount Toubkal.

Day 10: Imlil – Tahnaout – Marrakech:

After we finish a traditional breakfast at the foot of the mountain, we will travel to the Red City Marrakech crossing Tahanout Village. After we reach Marrakech, we will explore some cool sites like the Majorelle Gardens and Jamaa El Fna Square, which is the busiest square in Africa and one of the most exotic places on earth. In the evening, we will go to a traditional Riad in the heart of the Medina to spend the night in a Moroccan vibe.

Day 11: Marrakech exploring:

On this day, we will explore Marrakech. We will eat breakfast in the Riad. After that, we will explore the huge Medina of Marrakech, which is another world heritage site. We will see the artisans, Bazaars, Koranic Schools, and the landmarks of the Medina. After that, we will see the famous Bahia Palace and the Saadian Tombs. Finally, we will eat lunch near Jamaa El Fna Square before we announce a free program. You can explore Marrakech the way you want. After breakfast, we will go on a guided tour to explore the Red City. Day 13: Essouaira – Walidia– El Jadida:

The program of this day will take us to explore the wonderful coastal cities of Morocco. We will start first by Walidia to see the beautiful lagoons and taste fresh oysters. Then, we will go to one of the most iconic cities of the Atlantic, which is El Jadida. We will explore some magical architectures like the underwater citadel and spend the night in a good hotel.

Day 14: El Jadida – Casablanca:

We will dedicate the day to explore El Jadida more. This town was established during the 16th century as a Portuguese colony. Hence all the old European Architecture.
