Starting Marrakech to Merzouga desert tour 3 days, we will travel to the Sahara Dunes near Merzouga after visiting Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate. We will also visit the fantastic Toudra Gorges and Dades Valley. After we finish our desert program, we will return to Marrakech.

Itinerary of Marrakech to Merzouga desert tour 3 days

1st Day: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ouarzazat – Skoura – Dades Gorges

The Marrakech to Merzouga desert tour for 3 days starts soon after we meet you. After that, we will go to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, traveling across the High-Atlas road. We will stop at Ait Benhaddou, which is one of the most iconic sites in Morocco, and Hollywood movies. It was the filming site of many movies similar to Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven. After that, we will go to Ouarzazate, which is also apparent in those movies. We will go after that to Skoura Oasis, which is one of the most luscious oases in Morocco. Finally, we will drive to Dades Valley and gorges to explore the rock formations of the ‘Monkey Toes’ before we stop at a hotel with a nice view.

2nd Day: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi

We will eat breakfast and shower before we head to Tinghir: the oasis town and the Todra Gorges. Todra Gorges are the highest canyons in Morocco. The landscapes of Todra are quite amazing. After that, we will head to the oases of Tafilalt, which has the largest palm groves in Morocco. Soon after we visit the two desert towns Erfoud and Rissani, we will stop at our destination, which is Merzouga. We will check into a hotel there to take a rest. Finally, we will ride the camels towards the dunes of Erg Chebbi. We will climb the high dunes to see the mesmerizing sunset before we go to the desert camp. In the desert camp, we will enjoy all sorts of activities like dancing to live traditional music and stargazing. The nomads will keep us entertained until we decide to sleep.

3rd Day : Erg Chebbi – Rissani – Alnif – Tazarin – Valley Draa – Ouarzazat – Marrakech

On the last day of our Marrakech desert tour for 3 days, we will wake up early in the morning for we have to see the amazing sunrise in the Sahara dunes. After that, we will take a shower in the hotel, eat breakfast, and finally Erg Chebbi dunes. We will head to Ouarzazate across Alnif, Tazarine Oasis, N’kob, and the Draa Valley. We will pay a visit to the Kasbah of Taourirt and Skoura Oasis. Later that afternoon, we will head back to Marrakech through the same road that we’ve traveled in the day before.
